http://www.dailytech.com/RIAA+Eyes+Next+Possible+Targets+CD+Burners+Radio+Listeners/article9218.htm ok.. so, as an artist, i guess i have a vested interest i protecting my copyrighted materials and such...
but i always thought u were allowed to make copies of the music u legally purchased.. but now looks like they (riaa) may have decided "nah, you dont get to".. which is just wrong in my book. if i purchase your overpriced CDs, i should be allowed to have a copy of it on my puter or ipod and/or make mix cds that include songs from the said purchased cds.
rather than trying to fite the wave and keep us from getting the music, why not make an effort to let us get our ears on the music?
and poor boohoo record labels not getting money from the money bands make while touring.. boohoo! so, what next? u want to collect royalties from the power companies that provided the power teh bands used when recording the record? or the toilet paper companies because the artists used their toilet paper while taking poohs while they were writing the songs? or from guitar string manufactures coz we couldnt have the music w/o the guitar strings? give it fricking break dudes.
