well.. just spent a few days at cedar point, finishing up my photo project.
and confirmed the mohawk is the new mullet for boys/guys.
and apparently amy winehouse sloppy bouffant is new 'whatever' style for girls/women. maybe it was coz it just was soooo hot and humid at the park that people had their hair 'up' but the 'up' was in a distinctly amy winehouse variant of the bouffant.
and now that's ive said bouffant twice, you are now required to find and listen to the song "bulbous bouffant".. it's on some dr demento collections.. it is required to listen to that song. now. before you do anything else. ever.
going thru the pix from this trip... dunno if it was coz the park was pretty empty, ive been to cedar point too many times this summer to shoot, or if im "done" w shooting for this project, but the images just arent having the same "feel" / quality ive been getting thruout the summer...
and realized i have a compulsion.. well, i have many.. but im addicted to those silly spinning lights, hit a button, and try to win as many tickets as possible.. i come home from my park visits with STACKS of these tickets.. all w the intent of using them in some art project.. at michigan's adventure, i "mastered" one game was able to walk away w over 100 tickets / quarter every 2 - 3 tries.. wasnt so lucky w the same game at cedar point.. until i found the "titanic" game.. three rings of lights.. depending on how many quarters you use, u get more tickets.. and if u hit the jackpot on the 3 quarter version.. ud win over 1300 tickets! imagine the fun u could have w 1300 tickets!!!! (and if u went to the redemption counter, u could use ur tickets to get, um, i think a small stuffed animal. no thanks, i need these for an art project.).. so i played this silly ass game several times (more than im willing to admit).. and each time i was able to stop the light one before or one after the jackpot but never on the damned jackpot.. argh! but still.. came home w bout 1000 tickets from this trip.. i know......
but still.. adding to the collection and taking it into new directions/feels.... we'll see..
plus for my creative output, been making a new "line" of buttons.. an idea ive had for many many months but never got around to doing.. and finally tried it.. and liking what's coming out.. weeee....
