hey.. when u were at doms, did u get sangria or constant buzz? coz if you didnt get constant buzz, it doesnt count as visiting doms... mmmm... constant buzz.. been trying to master the recipe at home.. getting close and it's gosh darned buzzy to drink the failed recipes.... hh

the crip culture project.. well. ya see.. lisa is working w petra kuppers who i guess is a biggy in the crip culture community.. and petra is now teaching at uofm.. and lisa enlisted my help on some of the photography and video.. the project im working on is based on the greek figure tiresias. petra has a whole "mt olympus" theme she's working on.. the projects are community projects where it's a whole team of people coming together to put multimedia presentations / installations on.. so anyway.. w tiresias, we're tying together gender, eroticism, disability, etc.. for this project they are trying to show non-crips that just coz someone is disabled doesnt mean they dont have "those urges", follow thru on those urges, etc.. so it's very much about contact, eroticism, etc.

we're tying together poetry and readings w video and stills taken from dance performances which will then be mixed w music and presented in galleries and spaces around the world.. probably w accompanying live performances of dance, singing, and readings...

they are also presenting stills and other writings from the project team/community that are tiresiasian based for publication in journals and magazines around the world.. it's very interesting getting sucked into this project and community. but im way over my head on the video stuff but im learning... and it's all very "whatever you think is good and you can bring to the project".. a high level description of what they're going for and you add and bring what you can and see.. if it works, fine.. if not, it can be tweaked... there is no micromanagement in this thing... but u can quickly feel drowning coz these people have all been working together for so long and know each others skills and abilities (as an artist) and being a fresh person.. kinda like being asked to jump into the middle of a cirque de soleil performance and told "just do what you think is best and what you can"..

anyway.. that's one thing im working on...

and leopolds.. yeah.. did u have a leo's lemonade or a pisco sour? coz if not, again, it doesnt count as being there.. tho the beers are pretty tasty. and the food is pretty good.. it's the place i had my photo show back in jan..
