Ah, life
The good is often balanced by the bad.
Work is going great. We're going to get the "must be done today" document out in good time, with the majority of the initial changes in it. My boss is still very satisfied with my work, says I'm doing a great job, etc. He thinks I should go out there in a few weeks -- and the week of the 11th sounds great.
He's OK with me flying out to our San Diego office on the 10th, working Monday through Wednesday or Thursday at the office, then waiting until Sunday to fly home. This, incidentally, puts me a few hours drive from KWHSS, which I was going to anyway, so my flight is paid for.
To balance things out -- I haven't been able to update that document today at all. Three blue screens of death, six crashes, and two other things I got to do (like converting the corrupted Word document into a PDF, which even the Adobe software wouldn't do), entirely unrelated to this project.
Net positive, I think. And I can go home soon.
