Malyri's b/day party last night was enjoyable. I had lots of fun. Mmm cake!
This morning was Julie's surprise birthday party at 1100 AM. AM! (What do AM and PM mean, anyway?) MORNING!! So I had to set my alarm for 1015, and I got up and called Lindsey. Then I ended up running late, so I ended up flying down Mustang road yet again.
So my dad told me to come home between Julie's party and the STUCO meeting at 330. I come home and I clean the kitchen, I clean my room, and the living room, and I make Bailee clean her room. Then I play my guitar a while, my dad leaves for Home Depot, and I take out the trash then go wash my car. I come back, begin vacuuming my car, then change and leave for the STUCO meeting.
Jay calls to ask if I can go to her house tonight, and when I ask my dad he said NO b/c he thinks I need to stay home for FAMILY TIME. And I told him that there's only 2 NIGHTS out of the WHOLE FREAKING WEEK where I can actually do stuff, and I'll see family tomorrow and he says no, we need family time and you know you'll be gone all day tomorrow for church (he says this w/ a tone that seems to imply that he doesn't approve, like I'm a bad kid for going to church instead of being home.).
WELL IF YOU'D COME TO CHURCH THEN IT WOULD BE FAMILY TIME, NOW WOULDN'T IT?
I DON'T THINK THEY UNDERSTAND. THIS IS MY WEEKEND. I GO ALL WEEK WAKING UP EARLY (TO GET AN 8-YEAR-OLD KID READY TO GO TO SCHOOL AND IT'S NOT EVEN MY KID AND I DON'T KNOW WHY EVEN THOUGH I KEEP ASKING THEM TO HELP GET HER READY IN THE MORNINGS, THEY WILL NOT HELP.) AND GOING TO BED LATE, THEN ON MY SATURDAY I CLEAN THE HOUSE, AND YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT I NEED TO STAY HOME FOR FAMILY TIME ON MY SATURDAY NIGHT?! And then he asked me to cook BEANS to go w/ dinner. I told him no. B/c I do not want to cook beans on my Saturday night. I want to go watch movies at Jennifer's house. I must admit, I'm being rather childish about this but at the same time doesn't it make sense? It's my night off. I see them 5 other nights of the week.
It's not that I don't want to be w/ my family.
I just don't want to be w/ them tonight.
Okay so I guess since it's family time I'll go cook some beans and then come sit on the computer until I go to bed. Wow, what a bonding experience.
