In 28 years of reading and working I have read a bit... I enjoy reading but I don't love it and would much rather spend time with scripts, television, film, or theatre - instead of a 'good book'.

The fastest thing I've ever been able to read was 4 days approximately 12 hours of book 6 of Harry Potter.

We have a new record. 7 hours to read - nay - devour, Twilight. Where it fails in plot tragectory it more then makes up for in character development. I found myself literally breathless at moments. LITERALLY! I was holding my breath. I cried. I laughed. I talked to the book. I don't mean actual just sighs gasps and the occasional wtf, no, I had real conversations at the end of chapters with the book. I was totured by these characters. I was forsaking sleep for the opportunity to experience their pain, anguish, and love.

Is it great literature? No. Is it wunderbar fiction? The best.

Pick it up. It's a light read, but it is the most fulfilling 'light read' I've ever had. I'll be tearing through the next three books shortly, but for now I'll wait to see the film before picking up Book 2. What? I do have a show to direct and an opera company to run.
