The cast of Fox's animated series "Family Guy" will appear - with a 40-piece orchestra - at Carnegie Hall Nov. 24 and 25 in Family Guy Sings!
Creator and star Seth MacFarlane heads the cast, which features Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Seth Green and Mike Henry. The performances in Carnegie's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage will play at 8 PM on both evenings.
"This unique, unpredictable and unforgettable musical experience will feature the superstar cast singing live with a 40-piece orchestra conducted by 'Family Guy' composer Walter Murphy," reads an announcement for the show. The evenings will include "a live reading of two uncensored, classic episodes hand-picked by MacFarlane, as well as bonus material never before seen on Fox. The cast will sing musical numbers from those episodes, along with many other classic songs that have been featured in the television series."
As a special bonus, the audience will be treated to a sneak preview of the upcoming spin-off series, "The Cleveland Show." David J. Foster, Jared Geller and Just For Laughs present the show.
On the Fox show, creator MacFarlane voices the portly patriarch Peter, the ever-conniving one-year-old baby Stewie and the brainy yet boozy dog Brian. Borstein plays the wife and mother Lois, Kunis and Green are daughter Meg and son Chris, with Henry as various characters.
Borstein and MacFarlane played Carnegie Hall earlier this year with "An Evening with Alex Borstein & Seth MacFarlane: A Benefit for the Writers Guild of America Strike Fund," which also featured Patti LuPone and Janeane Garofalo. The cast has also performed the show on stage in Family Guy Live!
The show boasts the warning: "This production contains adult language and situations that may not be suitable for all ages. Recommended for mature audiences only."
Tickets to Family Guy Sings! at Carnegie Hall, 154 West 57th Street, are available by calling (212) 247-7800 or online at carnegiehall.org.
