Lobont set to sign for Dinamo Bucharest:
Romania international goalkeeper Bogdan Lobont is set to leave Fiorentina and sign a three-year contract for a second spell at Dinamo Bucharest, the player's agent said today. "Lobont will return home on Monday to join Dinamo Bucharest for a three-year deal," Victor Becali told Reuters. "He sent his agreement by fax."
Becali gave no financial details but sources close to Dinamo said the transfer fee was 500,000 Euros ($647,700) while Lobont's annual wage would be 320,000 Euros, one of the highest in Romanian soccer. Last week Fiorentina's Romanian striker Adrian Mutu told Romanian state television that Lobont should return to Dinamo as Fiorentina's first choice was now Sebastien Frey.
Fulham chase Ujfalusi:
Fulham are reported to be in the process of putting together a transfer deal for 29-year-old, Czech Republic and Fiorentina defender Tomas Ujfalusi. The tabloid press claim that as Fulham boss Chris Coleman's main defensive target Oguchi Onyewu of Standard Liege is dragging his heels about joining The Cottagers, Coleman is looking to Ujfalusi as a replacement.
However Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino denied Tomas Ujfalusi was for sale: "We are not negotiating for the player", Corvino said. "He is not for sale in January and it will be very difficult for clubs to get him in June."
Fulham, who were linked to an offer for Ujfalusi in the summer, believe that Fiorentina could be tempted by a £4 million offer.
