(Thank the lord he tends goal better than he dresses.)
•
Medicals started today, with Super Frenchie, Adem, D'Agostino, and Babacar
among the first to turn up. People will be rolling in over the next several days, until Thursday when the team (without at least Gila and Monty, who get extra rest after the collective World Cup fail) head out for training camp.
•As usual, rumors about people coming and going are flying around nonstop but, for now, all that's officially happened is that Keirrison has
gone back to Barcelona (and is
headed out again to Santos), and
D'Agostino has arrived from Udinese. In addition, Gobbi's contract expired and he's
said goodbye.
•After a summer of rumors about him being
moved into the first team, baby Carraro
busted his wrist and just had surgery that's
expected to keep him out for a month.
•Over the weekend, Corvino
held some sort of summit with fans and press and singers at the Franchi. By which I mean, he
sat in a throne and looked like a Panda who would cut you if you crossed him.
•Corriere Fiorentino just published a
long, long, in-depth interview with Sinisa, who says his goal for the team is a Champions League spot, and that he's got character, not a temper. AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT.
•And, finally, the team just announced a
friendly against Valencia, to be played on 18 August in Spain.
