K Project - my new obsession

Oct 05, 2012 09:24

I've watched all the PVs and determined it as an anime about copycats-bishounens fighting against each other to obtain some mysterious power (that most likely connected to a strange cat-like girl) with good music and animation... which most likely will be my new obsession of the DRRR!! caliber. Now I've finally watched it and, yes, I love it!

Shizuo! Who knows English! (IMO his pronunciation wasn't too bad^^)

I have a feeling I know the character who was copied but I just can't remember...

It reminds me of X1999

It's Kanda!

Another pair of Kanda and Allen's lookalikes, one of my main reasons for watching an on-going. Yesss, they're the main characters and they're together!!! Also, the OP is awesome. Zetsuen no Tempest actually disappointed me there - I've watched the song's PV before and expected something more... energetic.

I don't usually dislike a female character just because but this girl annoys me.

What was that? Ok, I understand there are people who didn't see the PVs and didn't guess right away who she is, but still the scene with 'a misterios invisible girl' could have been a little more graceful:/

Sephiroth???

As expected from PVs, the pretty view.

The skateboarding scenes were unnecessary long.

I actually rewatched the scene two times just to be sure I didn't hallucinate the blush. And then I squealed.

LOL, I love Yashiro

This is really familiar. Though while Yatogami (I love his name, btw, really... meaningful) is more like Kanda, Yashiro is definetely Shion-like. Their future chemistry is already apparent in a pretty funny preview^^ And since the characters' appearance are obviously deliberate, I wonder what it could signify for DGM. I mean, Nezumi and Shion were different enough to guess if their resemblance was an accident, but K is obviosly cashing in both DGM and No.6. All in Yatogami screams 'Kanda!' - his sword and coat, his appearance with the moon on the background, the scene below, etc. Maybe, just maybe, some another animation studio will decide to take advantage of that and make a remake? With FMA and Hunter x Hunter's remakes it doesn't sound so impossible...

Well, that was unexpected. I was sure they chased him because of Neko. The voice and the personality are all different but the flash(back?) with the Sephiroth lookalike (I actually think it's Yashiro) make the choice not so obvious. A split personality? Or a copycat after all?

All in all, it was entertaining to watch. The characters are lively, fighting scenes are expectedly awesome, the soundtrack is unexpected (I thought it would be more... battle-themed) and awesome, I like Yashiro and Yatogami. I also like blue color. It can be another Code Geass and I'll still be watching. Though, of course, I hope it will be less stupid.

And now it's a whole week till the next episode *sigh*
