When I was high school in the 1990s updated 70s fashion was the fashion throwback. Supposedly fashion is cyclical in this way. However it is not regular. Going by my high school experience, I'd say we like to have a 20 year lag. Yet we were almost out of the 2000s before the youngins dug up 1980s fashions. And here we are barely into 2010 and some maverick has moved on the 1990s. I've had people in there 40s and 50s laugh at me because I've been feeling old-ish since like 25. But I mean once fashions from your youth come back into style and you start looking at people younger than you and asking, what the fuck are you listening to? I think the ship of youth has officially sailed.
