as i started to actually work on my fic, it became something quite different than what i had sent as my summary for the check-in. is this okay? or did it need to be exactly what we sent for the check-in?

Nope, it's fine! You don't have to follow up on your check-in, that was just to make sure that you had actually thought about your assignemt. Fics tend to stray from their original drafts as you work further with it and write, so you don't have to worry about the fic matching your check-in or not as long as you sumbit it in time :)

i'm not sure if this falls under that first q/a, but my comment on the prompt meme was marked as spam (probably bc i added so many links oops....) and since it's closing in 2 days, i was worried no one would see it? or it wouldn't be unspammed on time :( sorry for the trouble...!

Hello, like with the sign-ups for exchanges, we'll check comments for the prompt meme regularly and unspam comments as long as the prompts or fills there don't go against the rules. We do this with all of our modposts, though we can't make any promises when it comes to comments on fics.

I tried turning my own adblock off, but the ad placement is different for me and I can't seem to figure out how to hide the ads entirely. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, I hope adblock will solve the problem for you!

yes, feel free to use the prompts from the meme! that's why it's still public :)

there aren't any rules about crediting, but it may be a good idea. some prompts were given unanonymously, so mentioning OP, if you post to LJ, could be a good idea, since they'd probably be happy to see that someone filled their prompt :)
