i'll admit it
i miss north carolina. i miss being on campus during basketball season just as the weather is starting to warm up and everybody put their Rainbow sandals back on and all you see on campus is a sea of blue Carolina shirts. i miss making plans to drive to the beach on the first warm weekend to stay at Dietra's house. i miss working part-time and goofing off full-time. i miss rousing myself at 10 am to make it to class on time. i miss going to class, period (yeah, what a nerd!) i miss weaver street market and hippies and Sunday morning pancake breakfasts. i miss my friends, my family, my cats.
i mean, i'm not UNHAPPY, i just miss these things. and yet i dont want to go back and live in NC just yet. i'm probably romanticizing things because i'm not there, because i know darn well that there are things i definitely don't miss. i just choose not to think about those things when i make these silly lists.
update for anyone who cares: i'll be in NC in may for a few days, and at the beach the last week in july. the beach = my parents' renting a house = people should drive down there and hang out with me. we all know that our best teenage/post-adolescent memories were made at the beach. well, mine were, at least.
