my cousin, Mary Karen Read, was buried today.  she died in the virginia tech shooting.  i never met her, as her parents divorced and she lived out of the country for much of her life, but she sounds like an amazing person, and i know my uncle is absolutely devastated.  my mom said over 1000 people attended her funeral.  seriously, this whole situation is pretty much beyond my comprehension.  how could anyone do that?  i just don't understand.

in happier new, my brother did extremely well in college jeopardy and made more money answering trivia questions for two afternoons than i make in 3 months!  yippee!
