Highlight of the day: being hit on my a lesbian (or bisexual, or something without an Official Queer Label) at Starbucks in front of my mom. I wondered afterward whether she (my mother) noticed, but I think not. Anyway, the Starbucks Lesbian (or Whatever) was muy cute and I like being hit on* by cute people, regardless of gender.
* Only in a nice way, however. Being creepily hit on by, say, a middle aged man in the supermarket at two a.m. is not something I enjoy.
Family time today included an excellent lunch at Hillebrand Winery in Niagra-on-the-Lake (actually, I think the town was called Virgil, but it's practically in N-o-t-L) and an entertaining play at the Shaw Festival. My parents are, I think, sad to be losing me on Sunday, but are glad they'll be seeing me after only a month. I've enjoyed being home, and I'm glad I'll be here for much of the summer.
Most amusing thing I've read on LJ all day, from
helenish's journal:
also, here's your rumor of the day: After hearing about Gary Oldman living in a four by five room with a large black dog for three weeks in preparation for the role of Sirius Black, Daniel Radcliffe became an incredibly intense method actor and insisted on living in a cupboard for the first two months of shooting. Alfonso, naturally, thought it was a wonderful idea, and helped him build it, and encouraged anyone with a bit of free time to go around and jump on top of the cupboard now and again, to simulate people running up and down the stairs.
