Not quite the happily ever after ending one might hope for, but fitting for the mood of the story. There is love, so there is hope. I think this last part was especially well done. Good job!

*grins* Yeah, I'm notorious for avoiding those 'happy endings'. I like leaving a bit of space, but I admit this is more than I usually do. There was just far too much to cover in this chapter...also I came up with a fun idea to follow this up ^_^ I gave up on trying to post it Xmas day, but either tonight or tomorrow will be the first two chapters of the sequal (Xmas song challenge) I'm happy that you apparently like the story, so I hope you'll like that one, too ^__^
