[Most of the time, Tear's been keeping to the more populated sections of the City - getting a feel for the people, their habits, what to expect. So when the feed shows the image of a warm and welcoming Xanadu, it's a change of pace for all involved

[Estelle is actually not surprised by this. Tear may have been terse in her introduction, but she could tell that there is more to her than that. Instead, she starts her feed by starting this conversation very normally in response to her words.]

They have a lot of beautiful flowers in the City. [A bit of a pause.] Is a silennia a type of flower from your world?

[By the sudden jolt of the video, Tear's jumped in surprise. Her face is pink when it appears on camera.]

I didn't realize this was on...

Yes, they are. ..there don't seem to be any here, but I'm not surprised. The flowers are nice though.

I imagine they must be native to your world. What are they like?

[Well, if she can't see them here in the City, she may as well get a description from Tear since it seems she was looking for them.]

They are..[A pause.]..very white. Like snow. They look similar to lilies, but not quite. [This is much harder to do than she expected. A sigh.]

But they can grow in very harsh places. Even when there's no sunlight, they can bloom.

[Hearing that description, Estelle inhales, then exhales very, very softly, closing her eyes and imagining such a flower.]

It sounds like such a beautiful and yet such a strong flower. Is it symbolic of anything?

..I wouldn't know. [Poetics weren't really her cup of tea.]

They grew where I was raised, so they remind me of home. They might be too difficult to cultivate here.

Do you garden, Estelle?

Is your home in a dark place? [Given what she’s heard about these flowers and what Tear just said, she’s able to put two and two together.

And then she shakes her head.]

No, I don’t. I just find flowers to be really pretty.

A-ah. [..maybe she's said too much. She hardly knows the girl and doesn't want to be giving her life story to her.]

[Then again, she is friends with Luke. Perhaps she can trust her a little more.]

They are. There's a lot of unique flowers in this garden..

So, I assume that you were finally able to get sunlight, or at the very least, some form of light. That sounds wonderful! [Again, Estelle is smart. She’s able to pick up on these little things and figure them out.

And then her attention focuses back on the flowers.]

They really are. A lot of these flowers I have never seen before, though I haven’t actually been to Xanadu myself. Perhaps I will have to visit there one day.
