[Yuan's returned from the draft, only to find his house in shambles. Sliced armchairs, lacerations in the wall, upturned furniture, broken floors thanks to Ground Dasher magic... And of course his curtains have been torn. The damn curtains always get damaged. The room he just finished redecorating is a lost cause. Hopefully, the Malnosso will fix ( Read more... )

mithos sucks, draft, lost ring, leave the curtains alone!

Dead? By your hand, I presume? [whatevs, brah. Have a scoff.] I'd like to see you try. [...Actually, no he wouldn't, because there's a fair possibility that Yuan would succeed. But this is how one appropriately handles threats.]

Don't challenge me. I've had plenty of chances to end your life already.

[It's half a bluff. He knows perfectly well that killling Mithos in this place is a stupid idea. He would just return, more vengeful than before. In fact, Yuan had already killed Ratatosk- as far as you could call that "killing", and it hadn't made any difference in the least.

What a depressing world, where death threats are utterly pointless.]

Yet here I still am. [He is very aware that Yuan could have finished him off that time his wing had been broken, when he had passed out. But even though they both know better, he still prefers to maintain the illusion that his bite is in fact on par with his bark.]

To think that one as miserable as you detained me from my goals for so long. [And the feeling's mutual, in regard to the uselessness of death threats.]

[Yuan's still trying to wade his way through the wrecked hallway as he talks. He's half expecting to see the words "Mithos was here, Yuan is a loser" scribbled on one of the walls with crayon.]

And to think someone as childish as you managed to keep Cruxis running for that long. Of course, you had Kratos and myself do most of the w- [He cuts off abruptly when he finally manages to push his way into his bedroom, only to greet utter chaos. It's like a hurricane hit.]

... Fuck!

[A scowl - because being insulted by the Lowliest Scum to Ever Exist doesn't fly with him.] Which turned out to be a mistake, entrusting any responsibility to you two mangy dogs.

You shouldn't be so shocked by the results of your impudence/

You sick little bastard! Just when I thought you couldn't stoop any lower. [He slams his journal down on the desk and kneels down in front of it to grab the drawer that'd been ripped out and tossed to the ground. Time to sweep the contents back in.]

Who are you to say such a thing to me? I can't even fathom the low levels you have so disgustingly sunk to. [Does the name Martel ring a bell?]

Don't even try to compare that. Nothing gave you the right to break into my house and demolish it.

I didn't need anything or anyone to give me the right. I do as I see fit, and a miserable traitor like you isn't going to stop me.

And what exactly did you hope to accomplish by... [He trails off. Something's still missing. Most of the drawer's contents were right here, but the most important thing wasn't. Yuan's stomach plummets a bit, but he can't jump to conclusions just yet. Maybe it just rolled under the bed or something. Or it's covered by more junk.

Please hold while Yuan crawls across the ground on all fours, shoving random things aside in search of a jewelry box.]

Merely keeping tabs on you. [Maybe it served no real purpose, but he at least liked to feel productive.

And he hears you frantically digging through the debris over there, Yuan. It's an agreeable mental image, well-suited for a traitorous dog.]

How many times have I told you to stay the hell away from me?

[Poor Yuan is now lying flat on his stomach and desperately trying to reach underneath his wardrobe, in hopes of finding something there. It's a good thing Mithos can't actually see him- the situation is already embarrassing enough.]

[You know what, this is quite the refreshing change of pace.]

How many times must I tell you that I don't take orders from traitors?

[He'd tell Mithos to get a life, but.. That'd be a waste of words. After a bit more helpless clawing, he accepts there's nothing underneath the wardrobe and sits up again, glancing around.]

Don't think I'll hesitate to return the gesture when you get sent away for a while. [Oh, look, there's the box. Yuan gets to his feet and strides across the room, towards the window, to retrieve it.]
