[It's been a week since Yuan was returned from his kidnapping and while the effect still hasn't worn off, he feels more confident wandering the village, now. He's gotten some more of his memories back, though it's still far from what it should be.

When a certain white fuzzy puppy runs up to him, sniffing and panting excitedly, Yuan stops in his tracks to watch it with a slightly blank expression. He wasn't expecting to see any dogs here.]

[Oh boy a new person! This makes him happy. Kuzunoha circles around Yuan, just sniffing and eventually giving a bark as if to say hello.

Naoto catches the bark and a moment later walks up to find the two together. Well she definitely hasn't seen him for a while] Good afternoon, Yuan-san. [Leaning down to pick up the happy puppy] I apologize if he disturbed you.

[If this encounter were to have taken place a week ago, Yuan would've found Naoto vaguely familiar. Now, however, he's progressed far enough to actually match a name to her face. He doesn't mistake her for a boy, either. Nope, he's sure that despite only having met her about half a year ago, something happened to make them quite close.

Because of this, Naoto may notice that he looks a little distracted.]

Ah, Naoto... It's fine. He wasn't any trouble.

[She does notice the different look on his face. Usually he looks incredibly serious but something's off about him right now. Had something happened?]

Are you all right? [Kuzunoha gives a small whine, wanting to get to Yuan]

[The puppy catches his eye again for a few seconds, but he manages to tear his gaze away from it.]

I'm fine. I just... have a lot on my mind right now.

[Don't worry, she won't pry too much if you don't want her to. It's just natural for her to be curious about everything]

[Naoto has a way of doing that with conversations. She shakes her head]

No, I found him this morning and brought him inside. He's been following me ever since. [And now that they're talking about him, the puppy barks at Yuan and squirms in the girl's arms]
