14th Case - [accidental voice]/[action]

[It's been about three-four days since anyone has seen Naoto walking around the village since she was mallynapped but now she's back, in a way at least.  The girl who has returned is familiar to two people but to everyone else, say hello to a very mood-swingish and angry Naoto.  It doesn't help that she woke up not knowing which way to go, it's

[It's...not too surprising that Roxas noticed that Naoto had disappeared. He liked to keep tabs on his friends, so when he hadn't seen the girl for a few days he knew something was up. He spent the next few days wandering the village, keeping an eye out for any sign of her and keeping his journal open as well. When he hears that voice, he suddenly stares at the journal and stops walking to respond.] Naoto! [But she shuts the journal before the journal shuts again.

But that was the river, right? Maybe she's in the woods. Yeah, that's it! He's going to break into a run and head that direction, hoping to find her on her way back.] Naoto! Are you out there?

[Hmmm? What's this now? Someone's come to look for her?

Since an echo can easily carry through the place it isn't difficult to hear Roxas' calling out for her but she makes no attempt in responding to him. Why would she want to speak to one of those filthy lying humans? So instead she stands, wipes her eyes and walks in a different direction as if she's trying to avoid him.

...Which she is but he doesn't need to know that. Let's just say she never heard him and move on]

[Rude. But Roxas will continue to seek her out, calling out her name as he runs through the woods heading toward the river. As he crashes through some brush, he spots her standing there walking away.]

Hey, Naoto! Wait up! [Running to approach her now.]

[God can't you creatures get the picture? She's not responding and is walking away for a reason, not just to tease you. How the other her can manage dealing with these humans is beyond her.

Surprisingly though, she stops and actually turns just a little to look at him, looking relatively pissed off. But it's totally normal for her to look unhappy, she is a shadow after all. But for now, enjoy the stare from her because she won't say a word]

Naoto?

[At least, the voice sounded like it belonged to her when he imagines it without the sobbing and hiccuping. Judging from the background sounds, she's by a river . . . and he isn't certain that she'll answer back in time or find her way with the way she's behaving. There are several rivers in Luceti, but he'll take his chances of finding her by checking each spot he can remember. With Rise having asked about her and that worrisome video from earlier, he can't just let this go even if he only barely knows Naoto.

He should find her, eventually.]

[Naoto continues her little walk along the river when she spots Hubert, and it looks as if he's looking for something...or someone. Maybe her perhaps? So she stands there for a moment watching him with her creepy yellow eyes then begins to walk again, heading right towards him with a blank expression on her face.

Oh but, she has no intentions of stopping to talk. You see, she's in a rather bad mood right now and would rather not communicate to one of those disgusting humans]

[Rather, she technically found him.]

Naoto.

[Oblivious as he is to her current situation, he greets her with her name, taking in her different attire and -- had her eyes always been that shade of striking yellow? It's entirely too bright compared to what he vaguely recalls being more mellow. It's hard not to notice once she's close enough.

His eyes narrow very slightly, his posture stiff and his mindset wary.]

[Well that's surprising to say the least. It even makes her stop her in her tracks though her eyes remain on the path ahead of her. He called her by her name. No wait, she is her! So he is correct.

She still isn't going to say a word though. Instead she just turns her gaze up to meet his, standing completely still with a more sour look on her face. Speak quickly because she doesn't have the patience for idiots like you. There are more important things to be done]

Shirogane-san?

[He waits a bit, hoping she'll answer. If she doesn't, Kouki will head out to find her. The forest somewhere...and near a river, it sounds like.]

[Naoto won't reply until your in the forest since she really doesn't find the need to open the journal again until she finds herself absolutely bored and lucky you, she responds]

What.

[Voice]

[He stops and look back at the journal. Lucky him, he keeps it open while searching for her.]

Are you alright?

[That single 'what' is already raising alarm bells in his head.]

Just fine.

[Yes, she's a little pissed off but that shouldn't be surprising...if you knew who it was you were talking to. She's alone and bleeding, not in the best mood]

[there's no way Sora could have heard that cry of Naoto's and not come running-- briefly, he thinks that Naoto being stuck in a tree but otherwise calm as per last Mallynapping was better than what he just heard over the journal.]

[in any case, there's a spiky headed kid eventually making his way in her direction.]

[All the while, Naoto will be walking alongside the river, still crying a little. Her right hand...more so her sleeve, is up rubbing her eye a little and she bites her lip all in an attempt to stop crying. Jeez, she thought she was over all of this. SIIIIIIIIIIGH guess not.

In any case, you may spot her just trudging along there Sora]

Naoto-- hey! [and he's running toward her, a hand lifted to try to get her attention.]

[Dropping the journal, she uses both hands--sleeves to rub both of her eyes and look up to see who's calling her. Oh great...it's one of them. As soon as she puts her hands down at her side, her expression changes to angry instead of sad, but she is happy he called her Naoto]

[Roji tenses up immediately when he hears this broadcast. Normally he'd be relieved to know that Naoto is no longer missing, but the nature of the broadcast only sends him up and running to find her. He hasn't known Naoto that long, but he could tell something was wrong when she started crying. First that weird video, and now this? Something is definitely up. He knows he has to find her quick. She could be in trouble.

So he sets off toward the nearest river, since that was the only clue to her location in the broadcast. As he gets closer, he begins shouting her name in hope of getting a response. He'll probably be very out of breath when he finally finds her.]

[When she wipes away the last tear from her cheek, she hears the very audible voice calling out her name though instead of responding she just stares out in the direction it came from as if she's just waiting for that person to pop out from behind one of the trees.

As much as she likes her being referred to as 'Naoto', she doesn't want to involve herself with one of those creatures. So turning on her heel, she starts to walk off in a different direction. Let's make this a little harder for you Roji]

[And harder she makes it. When he reaches the river, he walks along it for a short while, looking around for Naoto and trying to catch his breath. Maybe she wasn't on this end of the river?

He continues onward anyway, still calling her name though his voice sounds a little hoarse now. After a few more minutes of this, he finally spots Naoto (or what appears to be her) walking off in the distance. He gasps, excitement rising inside him. He's found her!]

N-Naoto! Wait! [He continues toward her, ignoring the aching in his chest from all the running.]

[Aww, the poor boy is straining his voice just to call out to her. How kind of him but she still isn't going to answer. His efforts can go to waste for all she cares, she's just going to keep walking awa--

Oh dammit he saw her. Well luckily for you Roji she isn't walking very fast, she's going at a normal pace so it shouldn't take too long to catch up to her]
