Black BEAT looking for volunteers!
Black BEAT 2009 Volunteer Positions are now available.
Black BEAT volunteers are the heart of our organization. Black BEAT is run by committee members.
There is no paid staff. In order to provide the activities and services for our community at large, we need your involvement. It just takes a little time, a little energy, and the desire to give a little back. In addition to learning new skills, you'll meet people of similar disposition in a relaxed environment.
If you are new to the organized BDSM "scene", this is an excellent way to make yourself known and to meet others. Helping to set up, run, and take down parties; dealing with audio, video, and lighting; staffing an outreach booth -- the list goes on. In fact, you may have a special skill that we need. Your job, your hobbies -- all these things can help to make Black BEAT a stronger, better organization, and make you a vital part of what is happening in "our" community. Our event could not be a success without our volunteers!!
If you're interested in a volunteer position, please be sure not to register for the event until your applications has been approved. Once you've been accepted as a volunteer, you will be given a discount code. This year we will be looking for volunteers in the following areas:
Registration
Security Vendor (setup/breakdown)
Volunteer Desk
Presenter Concierge Helper
Runners Banquet/Awards (setup/breakdown)
Event Producer Runner
Silent Auction (setup/breakdown)
Dungeon
Volunteer positions and times will be on a first come, first serve basis.
