I was walking to school today, and met the most wonderful homeless man. I was walking with nick, to class...we were holding hands...and the homeless guy said, "isn't that sweet, you are holding hands..." or something like that, and nick and I laughed...and then he saw nick's shoes (he was wearing slippers, they have bears fishing on them...you have to see them to really know what they look like), and the homeless man says, "hey man, I thought I was homeless, look at those shoes?!?! where the hell do you get things like that???" it was one of the funniest things I have ever heard. He kept talking, something about how nick must have woken up on the wrong side of the bunk, and then he laughed and said, "well, I woke up on the wrong side of the river...shivering, it was chilly" and we kept talking..it was funny...he was funny..I saw his shoes (he was wearing black vans) and I said "wow, nice shoes you got there though, they are vans like mine!" and he said "yeah, I bought them off this guy...he wanted 10 bucks for them and then I asked what he wanted for it all (stars wars, these pants with change in them, the whole package) and he said 20 bucks so I said man I'll take that...star wars shit, he must have been a booster, he said all he needed was 20 bucks....I sure hope he got a big rock out of that deal...it's really sad when people are like that, you know, stuck on that, I feel sorry for him, but what are you going to do.." and then he said something about nick and I getting married and having kids running all around and I said well don't get too far ahead, and he said, well you guys like each other, obviously, you are holding hands, and then he said, you guys are going to school, getting an education, you're gonna be rich, driving mercedes in no time, well you --and he looks at me--- are going to probably get a mini van to haul all those kids to soccer practice...and I just laughed and told him there was no way I was going to drive a minivan and he said, okay, well get the windows burnt so that no one can see you...it was so funny...
that guy rocked my world....
