o96: SOMETHING CORPORATE.
For those who don't know, Something Corporate is a very very very great band. And I saw them live. It. Was. Epic. SoCo went on hiatus about five years ago. They haven't done anything since then, but now they're on a reunion tour, and selling out shows around the country. They were my FAVORITE band when I was like... 13. So it was great reliving it with some good friends.
Alright, so it goes like this. I took the train into NYC with my friends, and we got to the venue around 4pm, and sat. We sat on a curb in New York City for three and a half hours. But I wouldn't have it any other way. (Also, while in line we got these AMAZING cupcakes) When we got inside, my friends and I got spots pretty close to the stage, but then we stood there for ANOTHER hour. But, you know, this time packed up close and personal with hundreds of my closest friends (sarcasm). Once SoCo got on stage though... MAGIC. For the first three songs, I almost died because of the people rushing the stage, but then it was fine. For real, the only word I use to describe this night is magical. Afterwards we wet behind the venue and I got to meet everybody in the band! The lead singer, Andrew McMahon (also the lead singer of Jack's Mannequin) signed my wallet. I can't stop staring at it haha. They were all so nice!
Then we were walking back to Penn Station, and ran into a HUGE group of people dressed in drag. It was so funny, my friends and I were taking a cheesy picture in Times Square, and in rush a group of drag queens! haha, I sware to you, you can't make this up. Then we had to rush and jog all the way back to Penn in order to catch the last train back to Jersey, and what do we do? Run onto the wrong train. We got off the next stop and had to wait a half hour for the right train, and there was four of us there at like 2AM, and they were playing SUCH a cheesy song on the radio. I can't remember what it was, but it was such a cheesy romantic song that if I did remember it, you wouldn't believe me.
It was deff one of the best nights of my summer.

I realized I never really put a good picture of myself up here. So here's a decent one. My legs look huge, but my hair looks cute :) Me and my DELICIOUS cupcakes haha
And here's a couple pictures I took during the concert:
Yeah, he'd get up and jump around on the piano
And then put the finishing touches on a song with his butt
I also took great videos, but when I uploaded them to youtube, they zapped away all of the High Deff. (wtf, youtube.)
