o93: CUB CUB CUB!

I had such a good weekend with my college CUB friends. We went to the Poconos, a part of Pennsylvania with a bunch of mountains, wildlife, trees, lakes, etc. It was awesome. We went in a row boat, swam, made smores (WITH COOKIE DOUGH! I highly recommend this), bonded, drank, played catch phrase... Best part was I only had to pay $10 to rent the house. Our food was paid for by the school! It only made me want to move back to school more. Things won't be perfect, but at least I feel like I BELONG with that group of weirdos. (haha) It's weird, cause now I'm not the newest member. I used to have to sit there while they talked about past events/ members but now I've been filled in on just about all of it, and you know, now there's new events and members to talk about so I'm in the loop 99% of the time. Which is awesome. And the new members are SO into it, so it's just... great. I took a lot of pictures, but NONE of the ones I am in are any where acceptable for your eyes. (aka, I didn't give a shit about my appearance all weekend, and therefore looked like a huge ugly slob). BUT I got a new camera (the Sony HX5V) which is AWESOME so I'll post a few pictures just because!

The great Panorama mode on my Sony HX5V. It's awesome.

That's us at the Boulder Field. It's just something like 19 acres of rocks. It used to be a river or something. Now it's not.

Also, our house was outside of the "SLOW CHILDREN AT PLAY" sign. Appropriate.

Today I stumbled upon another great quote. "Don’t focus on the one guy who hates you. You don’t go to the park and set your picnic down next to the only pile of dog shit." It's from Shit My Dad Says (it's a book and you can also fallow it on twitter. which I highly recommend.) He also said, "No, I'm not a pessimist. At some point the world shits on everybody. Pretending it ain't shit makes you an idiot, not an optimist."

Truth.
