AAAAAH. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. SHOW, HOLY FUCK, I DON'T GET HOW YOU EXIST. It's just ... so delightful it's almost incomprehensible sometimes. Some quick dots about the episode!
- Lots of adorable Brennan!faces! I legit have to pause some of them just to smile at her, they're so adorable.
- HOW FUCKING GROSS WERE THE BODIES??? The guy cutting off the arm was pretty disgusting, the cats ripping the skin off the face was gross, and the guy's face literally melting apart in the boot? YUCK.
- WENDELL ASFJLSDJFJGL THAT STORYLINE IS LIKE, EVERYTHING I WOULD EVER WANT FROM A SHOW. It's pure joy! The fact that Cam, Brennan and Hodgins all paid for him to stay on! It was so sad when Brennan told him he would have to leave and he looked like he was crying, especially just after he said it was his dream to work with her and his scholarship was a miracle (I LOVE HIM ♥), and then he was almost crying again at the end! And him saying "thank you, anonymous!" I LOVE THEM ALL. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER.
- HOLD THE PHONE: PLUMBING!!!
FAVE THINGS: The completely unnecessary hand holding, talking about how they don't have secrets from each other, the reaching over her to ~fix pipes~ hug, "my watch is ruined!", "student-teacher, student-teacher", and my very favourite part:
BRENNAN: Even with all the financial and intellectual contradictions, I still feel close to you.
BOOTH: Right, because none of that really matters anyway.
BRENNAN: Sometimes looking at it through your eyes, I believe that.
I think I enjoyed that so much because I like moments when she opens up and shares how important he is in her life. Even when he tried to turn the conversation back to safer territory, she still continued with that. It was suuuuper sweet.
Also the fact that he is COMPLETELY HEAD OVER HEELS FOR HER, and keeps having conversations with her about how important ~sharing secrets~ is to try and justify him telling her how he feels. ♥ I LOVE HOW THIS SHOW SHOULD BE COMPLETELY LAME BUT JUST ENDS UP BEING COMPLETELY LOVELY.
I also rewatched "Chuck vs. The Suburbs" today and JFC I JUST WANT TO MARRY THAT EPISODE AND HAVE IT'S BABIES. SHOW, HOW ARE YOU SO WONDERFUL. My Mum expressed a desire to get Chuck on DVD today too :)
And! On that note, I had a really great day! I bought tickets for Animal Collective for December 17. I deposited two cheques I've had hanging around my room forever, which will significantly boost my savings. I applied for a debit card (YAY ONLINE SHOPPING, OMG) which I will be getting next week. I got a new battery for my watch. I got a new mobile phone & plan! I got this phone, I loooove it. And I got a new wallet! I would be in such a great mood if I didn't have work three days in a row, I feel like dying at the thought :( I know it's going to be super busy and that they haven't put enough staff on.
