Alright, so maybe it's not that exciting. In fact...why am i even doing this? I think the answer is quite obvious. I can't sleep and I didn't get anything accomplished today, so it must be time to randomly update my much-neglected journal. So...what to say...what to say.
Let's just make a list shall we?
School: School is school. Thank God this semester is almost over. It's the home stretch, and I am of course procrastinating far too much. I've got three papers to write, one presentation to give, and three plays to read. At least I only have one in-class test.
House Hunt: Well, it's that time of year again kids! Time for Vanessa to pack up everything she owns and move it to some other mold-infested domicile. Why do I move every year you may ask? Is it because I love packing so much? Or maybe I enjoy dealing with landlords? The truth is there is no answer. Maybe I secretly like to move. I somehow doubt it.
Romance: This is potentially the one area in which I'm at a loss for complaints. Things with Chris are great. It really does get better every day. I know, so mushy...I can't help it. It's so nice to be able to sit in the same room with someone and just read. I can't explain it, but it does fulfill one of the major criteria. It's so nice to be content and happy at the same time for once.
Family: I don't want to jinx it, but things are going quite swimmingly with the fam as well. I used to avoid calling my mother, but her and I are talking more and more, and we haven't had a tiff in quite a while. I think it has something to do with the fact that I'm not nearly so much of a bitter bitch lately. What I find most amazing is the way that my mother and I talk about Chris. I'm not sure if it's because he's older and therefore she trusts him more, or if she thinks I've become a bit wiser in the relationship area, but she actually seems interested in how things are going between the two of us. Her and I swap stories and both her and my dad are excited to meet him when they come up to visit. The only minor tension brewing between the three of us is over the fact that rent in Arcata has risen considerably since last year, but at least that's not something I can be blamed for.
Well, folks, that's about it. And Laura, I'll provide you with the requested photos as soon as I can find the cable that connects my camera to my computer.
