There are a lot of things I could say about this story but I think the first thing I'll say is that I really loved the way you structured the sections by food. I really love the creative things that can be done with section headers, and these made so much sense with the story. Just perfect ♡ Secondly, reading this made me feel like being snuggled up in a feather comforter and a cup of hot chocolate in front of a fire while it's snowing outside. I can't explain it, it's just comforting. Thirdly, I loved the paper cranes. What a touching thing for Jongin to do, and the way Chanyeol doesn't know the story really but he still tries to make cranes for Jongin and it's just (wipes away tears). Paper cranes always make me cry anyway; I blame this Pavlovian reflex on Sadako and the thousand paper cranes and my mom for reading it to my sisters and I as a child. I really appreciated the fact that Chanyeol was so upfront about wanting to date Jongin - it was really refreshing! Finally, straight-forward interest! I also really liked that Jongin didn't have a huge massive trauma in his past - he had just been severely affected by seeing his sister's heartbreak and had resolved never to date for fear of suffering the same fate. The end, when Seokjin the routine delivery boy returned and Jongin realized just how much he actually missed Chanyeol, before Chanyeol showed up at his door - that was a perfect ending. Self-realization, but nothing dramatic to make it happen. Just a beautiful narrative and a happy ending full of sweetness, because we all like our happy endings, especially when it's cold outside and the road is long. Thank you ♡
