Arrival // Who Are You?

“You’re going to get us caught with all that purring.” She whispered against Victor’s ear even as her body continued to move against his.

He softly chuckled, a deep rumbling timber against her throat. With minutes until they were supposed to jump, they should have been debriefing. Another hiccup in time they had to go back and fix. They shouldn’t have been holed up in the stairway fighting a mutual need to get naked.

A clawed hand grabbed her leather clad ass hoisting her higher so he could effectively rub against her. The telepath’s breath caught and Victor swallowed her gasp thrusting his tongue in her mouth the way he wanted to with lower parts of his anatomy.

“Whose bein’ loud now?” The feral teased around her moans just as the stairwell door flung open.

Sage, Tessa to her friends, stood there with a hand on her hip and an amused/annoyed expression on her face. “I’d say get a room but we don’t have time for that. You guys were supposed to be on the platform 5 minutes ago. John is blowing a gasket.”

The three of them all hurried to meet the rest of the team waiting to do the jump. “It’s about time!” Thunderbird shouted as soon as he saw them then groaned and averted his eyes away from Victor’s impressively tented pants.

Betsy, Sage and the others glanced down to see what all the fuss was about while Sabretooth just smiled all proud of himself. The reactions varied from Sage shaking her head trying to un-see her aroused teammate to Betsy’s inappropriate laughter. “This is all her fault.” Victor said pointing at his co-conspirator making Betsy laugh harder. “I do have that effect on men.”

“Can we just go please?” John grumbled in a mixture of English and Apache as Morph set the calculations.

Everyone took their places and Betsy snuck a sideways glance at Victor. “To be continued.” She mouthed with a smirk as light danced around them.

Ordinarily, it took a few seconds to reach their destination but something wasn’t right. The screeching light around her grew so bright even closing her eyes couldn’t block it out. Her brain was on fire. Betsy screamed and then the world went dark.

When her eyes fluttered open the sky was inky black and she had the headache to end all headaches. The pain was so paralyzing she just wanted to lie there but it was less than a minute before strong arms were lifting her off the ground.

“I got her.” Betsy heard a deep unfamiliar voice say. Slowly, she pried her heavy lids back open to see who was holding her but before her vision could clear, there was a whoosh then BAM! The explosion sent her flying from her rescuer’s arms and tumbling into the ditch on the side of the road. She vaguely registered landing in water before the world went dark again.

By the time anyone found her again, she was all alone with the exception of the charred corpse 20 feet away.
