It took them a few days to get ready to leave--they were, after all, twelve, and they did, after all, plan to leave without their mother and without her worrying about them. No sense in running away if the cops were going to be looking. But after quite a bit of digging on increasingly accurate map sites, and some judicious use of Aaron's abilities to get some even more accurate information from those in the know, they had the exact location of the mansion down to the square foot of each corner--and the front door. And they knew how far it was, as the crow flies (whatever that meant), from their house, and in what direction. After that, it was a simple matter for Zeke to pack up their belongings telekinetically while Aaron persuaded their mother that she'd never had children to begin with. After the chaos they'd caused since their father died, she was happy to believe it.
Then they clasped hands, free hands picking up a suitcase and each of them standing on a suitcase besides, and teleported to the front porch of Fortes et Liber.
"Whoa!" the twins said in unison. The place was big, and nice. Even the world their father had built for them in their minds didn't compare.
The twins grinned at each other, and each raised a hand and knocked on the door at once.
