Starting a new chapter. [Introduction :: OTA]
The taxi driver was very accommodating, driving right up to the gates of the address she had given him, which in turn she had gotten from a flyer being passed out on the street. The man, Scott, had been quite nice, if not maybe a little vague about just what went on here. But she'd gotten the gist of it, and she'd liked what she'd heard. She'd been feeling restless for a while now, feeling like time was passing her by, and she should be doing more with it than shopping sprees and hanging out with friends.
So, here she was, feeling more than a little like she was standing at the gateway to a new chapter in her life. She wondered if she should feel a little more nervous about it. But it was definitely time for a change, and she was ready for it.
The taxi driver had offered to carry Buffy's bags for her, but she waved him off, easily picking up the three hard-sided suitcases, one tucked under her arm, and made her way up to the door.
And stopped. Did she knock? Were they expecting her, did she just walk in? She should have planned this out a little more carefully, instead of just, 'Sure, I'll head up there and everything'll work out.'
Heaving a small sigh at her own short-sightedness (and her 'inner-Giles' voice that was berating her for her short-sightedness), she set down one of the suitcases, and knocked soundly on the door.
