You know where a comfortable place to sleep is? The couch. Not in her own bed. Oh, no. Of course not. No. Penny needed the couch. It wasn't her room. It was closer to an exit should things go to hell again and hopefully this time she could get Alex and others away. Provided something like that happened again which she prayed it didn't.
And, also? She's not sleeping. She's playing with a little device that displayed stars and constellations on the ceiling. She had it since she was three and it still brought her a sense of comfort when stressed. She was staring up at that, turning the thing slightly to make the stars on the ceiling move.
And not sleeping. She wasn't sure she could if she tried and there was nothing she could take for it.
