Struggling to her feet Klara managed to haul herself along the landing, barely stifiling the hoarse scream that bubbled up at the sight of someone's feet. Clearly from the blueish tinge the guy hadn't been so lucky with his run-in with Martini. She didn't loiter to get a better look.
Taking the steps carefully Klara passed a mirror on the stairs, only to stop and stare at her reflection. Her skin was a pasty white, her lips cracked and dry and there were bright red and slowly deepening purple finger marks across her throat. Tears coarsed down her cheeks as she studied the perfect hand prints before continuing down to the rest of the house where she was sure she could hear voices.
Pity she couldn't call for help though.

She mouthed out her next question as they wandered through the house. Someone died. Martini, he did all of this didn't he? I thought... I thought he was a nice guy.
