Did We Miss Anything? *Open for the Wounded later*

The flight to the airport wasn't entirely bad. Hell, the entire trip was pretty fun if you looked past the anti-mutant problems, bailing Crystal out of jail, and getting drugged. Scott left his car in Warren's bag and was first out, making a dash for the door. Before moving up the steps he glanced at Warren and Crystal. "C'mon ( Read more... )

Once out of the car, Crystal booked it along after Scott, but she froze when her nose caught something in the air. It was faint, but she could still smell it. She parted her mouth slightly and felt her stomach churn at the taste of something mildly copper in the air, and slowed before looking to Scott suddenly feeling panicked.

"Scott?... Something isn't right..." she shook her head and neared the door.

Warren was after them, slipping off his jacket as he went.

"It's too quiet this time of day there should be someone out in the yard." Warren unfurled his wings just to be on the safe side. Bobby, Ash... He thought wanting to fly up to check his and Bobby's room first.

"There's no sign of struggle out here."

"You know," Scott began as a hand went for the doorknob, "it might be nothing." He hoped his smile was convincing enough to reassure both of them. When he turned the knob, he found it was locked. With a stronger pull, he tried again. "Why is the door locked?" he grumbled.

Crystal looked up at the door, placing her hand on it.

"If what I'm smelling is right that's one bitch of a nose bleed, Scott." she looked at him, then at the door knob trying it herself.

"Don't you have a key?"

The scent was stronger here.

Warren was fumbling in his pocket for his keys. "Crystal, how thick is it?"

He found his keys moving to the door the key in hand. "Fuck it, I open it, you and Scott cover me." He'd play point only because he had the keys. He needed to get to Bobby and check on Ash make sure they were okay. Glancing at Scott he could tell the other was worried about Alex. I'm sure he's okay."

"All the keys went to Martini before I left," he said snapping a little.

Scott moved aside and motioned to the door. Of course he was worried about his little brother, but the others too. Alex was family, along with everyone else at Fortes in his opinion.

Crystal wanted to snap back, but once the door opened she caught the scent again. Everyone's with a mixture of sweat, the copper, flowers, soil from outside. She stepped in, eyes scanning the area.

It was - awkwardly quite and she stepped carefully, turning her head to try and catch the source of the scent.

"Tandy? Alex?" she called out names, as she moved. Searching the scents in the air for the one she wanted.

Warren stepped further inside, ready to spring at any moment. "Bobby? Ash?" He called low hoping they were within hearing distance.

"Crystal don't go too far we don't know what we're up against yet."

He wasted no time in helping Crystal yell out names once he was in the house. "Alex?! Penny?" The echo of the place was slightly eerie. Scott cursed under his breath, fuming slightly.

Crystal looked as if she was purposely blocking out what Warren had told her, because she moved forward still. Peeking into corners, opening door.

"Penny! Tandy! Hello?!" she snarled now, feeling her patience waring thin.

"I don't like this." she skipped forward, peeking around the hall.

Warren turned the corner and saw Wendy lying in the hall, going to his side he knelt checking the man's pulse.

"Okay, come on, let's get you to Ash." He picked him up. "Scott, Crys, found one."
