I HAVE SATRUDAY OFF, YOU GUYS, THIS IS AMAAAAAZING. WHY CAN'T I DO THIS EVERY WEEKEND?
Highlights of my day already include:
-Hearing MLK's I Have A Dream speech FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I IMAGINED.
-Waking up at the butt-crack of dawn, since that is what I am used to. Whatevs, it means I have even MORE Saturday to love!
-Watching a crazy Gourmet PBS special. I have decided I want to move to a farm. :-)
-Sent an email to my principal to see if my kids can say the Pledge of Allegiance (IN SPANISH, YOU GUYS!! \0/) during the morning announcements on Wednesday.
-Watched a crazy Canadian do home repairwork on HGTV. GO HOME AND GARDEN CHANNEL. Sadly not Holmes on Homes, but I'll take what I can get.
-Threw an icicle the size of a fucking javelin LIKE A JAVELIN. LIKE A BOSS.
-Eaten a delicious blueberry-lemon scone. I also had two cups of coffee. What? That's not twice my legal limit! ::looks around shiftily::
-Read an awesome H50 story - eleanor_lavish's (lj) Put Your Mind At Ease.
Somewhere in the last year, while Steve was busy killing bad guys, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell has been erased from the books and guys like Jeff can marry whoever they damn well please.
-It's a really gorgeous look at what DADT meant for Steve, and the kind of whiplash you get when the rules you've been living by are no longer there. ♥
AND I CAN GO TO THE MUSIC STORE, OR I CAN GO FOR A RUN, AND I CAN APPLY FOR PREDOCTORAL GRANTS, AND WRITE THANK-YOU NOTES AND MAKE A FINAL BECAUSE THAT IS JUST HOW MUCH TIME I HAVE. BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE CLASS TODAY. (Um. I'm classy all the time. I just have no class to attend today.)
