Things that make me laugh.
I've been buried in work, certification programs, graduate school research and work. My 14-hour days have thankfully been reduced to 12-hour days for now, but I'm still getting the miserable pay rate of a permanent sub until my certification goes through. Good times. Also, I'm covered in cold germs, thanks to my lovely little idiots. (I kid. I feel I can call them stupid because I know they aren't.) So! This post. Because, goddammit, I need to feel my face again, and laughter might make me wheeze and hack, but at least I know I'm alive.
Ellen's Guide to Dating Sites This might show in the US only - I'm not so up on where WarnerBros sites stream to - but it is funny. If you can't link to it, let me know, and I'll try and find a new link for you. Ellen is always funny, and I love watching her after she's told a joke. She waits to see if it hits, and then gives this cute little grin when it does. It's ridiculous how adorable she is.
When she gets to the Treklovers site, I felt like shouting out "There are dozens of us! Dozens!"
"If Build-A-Bear Were As Terrible As Real Children" The first couple of slides seemed a little contrived, but after that, I was hooked. Very funny, and exactly all the reasons not to have children. Reasons that about 50% of the population ignore. But who am I to talk? I spend all day with 12-year-olds.
