This? This is what's wrong with the whole fucking world, when middle class, straight (and generally white) male "norms" are touted as fact. When people who have endured sexual assault are actually, incredibly nicely taking time to talk with someone reasonably and informatively about how this POV can be damaging not just to them, but to people everywhere, and are dismissed? It makes me want to fucking punch someone. Namely, the asshole doing the dismissing.
