Now that the fish has sufficiently embarrassed me, I think it is time I engage in activities to make me forget all about said embarrassment

They really aren't, but given where Haine and Badou live, they needed something bulletproof. It was tricky, but I devised a ventilation system that utilizes the space beneath the safe so that the set could remain bulletproof.
...Oh. Um. That's. Really good. I've never thought of that. Um. But, uhh, wouldn't the safe be, um, too thick to be really effective in ventilation? Unless it could somehow be put through the base, which would, um, be a lot more work than it's worth, probably...
I could send you the draft design I did before I started building it if I'm not clear enough. I took out the shelf in the bottom and punched holes into it for the interior ventilation, beneath that are a few computer fans and actual bottom of the safe and replaced it with a study but thinner piece of metal, also with holes punched in it for ventilation. About midway between the bottom of the safe and the end of it's legs, I put the old safe bottom into place. There's also several small lightweight pieces of metal placed at an angle and welded into place so that someone would have to be at a very strange angle to even get a shot at the bottom of the television set.
It's impractically heavy for a normal television set, but it suits their needs better than any other television in existence.
Would the computer fans be enough? I mean, um, even with the holes, I found that it's, um, rather ineffective for proper amount of ventilation that wouldn't damage the, um, electronics. ...That's an interesting thing you did for the bottom. Just in case it gets, uh, overturned?
That's, um, a lot of trouble to go for just a television set. Why do they need one like that? I mean, even with the, ah, gunfights..
There's more fans in the main casing, ones typically used for a television set. Or in case someone in the apartment below them fires a shot through the ceiling/floor.
Their old television set is pretty much destroyed from gunfights. The world they live in is quite violent and they don't live in the best of neighborhoods. It might be overkill, but I wanted to work with what was laying around and try to make something new and unique for them.
I haven't ever been there, but I suppose it is. They didn't request it be made that way, but I think it will save them having to get it replaced again. They don't really have the money to keep buying new ones.
I don't mind at all. I'll email it to you right now. Well most of it. I had to get my father's help with a bit of it because the safe was a little to heavy for me to maneuver after I got the more delicate parts in before securing them.
Yes, I rather hope they don't have to replace it either.
You're welcome, I've sent the file. Yes, I've put together quite a few things, I've been fiddling with electronics since I was little. My father taught me a lot. I made a pair of headphones not to long ago. And I've done a lot of repairs. It's just always interested me.
Haha, um, thanks! You remind me of a person I know. He's, um, interested in that kind of things as well. More than me, I guess. I was, um, always more interested in robots. But. I guess it's. Um, nearly the same thing? I mean.
It was really no trouble at all. It was a lot of fun, and gave me something to do.
Really? Oh, robots are fascinating. We have one living with us here in the dorms. She's by_his_side. It's not quite the same thing, but it's still very similar, I'd say.

How would that work? I mean. Um. Safes aren't exactly the ideal material for building a television frame, I thought...

It sounds pretty impressive.. it'd be cool if I could have a look at the blueprint, if you don't mind? And. Um, you did all that by yourself?

Um. Alright. Thanks! [[insert email here]] But. Apart from that you put together a television?
