It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Today was the first day of school :) Despite the fact that this is my second year of teaching, I was still mad nervous because I did not know what my kids would be like. They were good today though. They listened quietly as I reviewed the syllabus and rules, and they also participated. Granted, this was only the first day of school, and I know that their behavior is bound to change. In fact, I could already pick out the ones who might be trouble today. Gotta love that teacher sense :) Class sizes were also great today. Only between 18 and 25 students showed up in each class, although I have about 35 to 39 on my roster. I know that plenty of students will trickle in over the next couple of days (and weeks), but I'm hoping that I'll end up with 35 students or less. Anyways, time to relax and do a bit of planning!
