history: It's all here~

personality: Teddy may be called the Hulking but, in his own words, he doesn't hulk out more than any other sixteen year old. Contradictory to his superhero name, Teddy is rather level headed and calm in the majority of situations. This isn't true all the time though. Teddy's outbursts of uncontrollable Hulk-like rage and lashing out are almost always prompted by harm or threat to his boyfriend; he has threatened to maim people who have posed a threat to Billy and flown into a rage when he has been harmed.

However, unless fuelled by rage, Teddy is highly unlikely to want to bring harm to people. He is a firm believer in the quasi-pacifism the Avengers and Young Avengers practice; he does not believe in killing people, no matter how heinous their crime. He stopped Xavin from killing the Warden of The Cube, even after he kidnapped him and his friends and attempted to experiment on them, going as far as to tell Xavin that if she wanted to kill the Warden, she'd have to go through him. He also didn't pursue revenge against the Super Skrull after killing his 'mother'. He is much more likely to pull his punches in fight, or use his skills as an actor to scare people into surrendering than to fight and harm people.

Teddy would not hesitate to put himself in harm's way in order to keep his friends safe; he doesn't think twice about it and this isn't just because he is resistant to damage and has a healing factor. There are occasions where he runs into battle without thinking - he can be rash and end up getting hurt when it could have been avoided. But this just proves that not only is he a loyal (and arguably somewhat possessive) boyfriend, he is a steadfast friend. His friends are his family and he supports them through anything.

Still, Teddy will tell his friends if they're being idiots, or just plain wrong, and try to talk them out of things that will likely end up in them getting into trouble, and especially if it's something dangerous and especially if it's Billy; in fact, he can be perhaps a little overprotective. He's forgiving, though. Teddy never stays angry at his friends long and would much rather help them or save them than hold a grudge if they went against his wished, whether it means risking his life or not.

But he's also a bit of a hypocrite and likely to do stupid or dangerous things that he would most definitely talk his friends out of. For example, he went to meet Mar-Vell, even when it could have been a trap or he could have learned that everything he believed was a lie. It even frustrated him that his friends didn't think it was wise for him to go - but he's an orphan and he craved to know that the story Super Skrull had told him about his parents was true.

Despite learning of his true origins, Teddy refuses to recognise his so called destiny and fulfil the prophecy which the Skrull so passionately believe in. He is dedicated to him home, planet Earth, and refuses his rightful places as both the heir to the Skrull royal family and a hero in the Kree army in order to remain and protect his home, and those he cares about. He even gets annoyed and vehemently denies his responsibility when it is forced on him; he knows who he is as a person and what he wants to do: he refuses to have his life dictated.

A self confessed Avengers fanboy and Pokemon fan, Teddy is a bit of a geek. Part of why he became a superhero is because he idolised the Avengers. But this doesn't mean he won't stand up to his heroes; even when Captain America attempts to disband them, Teddy remained firm and devoted; he stood up for his beliefs and ideals and continued to follow the superhero lifestyle.

Teddy is a skilled actor, able to not only shapeshift to look like people, but to impersonate them successfully. He has even used this skill in order to pose as Billy in order to allow his boyfriend to go and search for signs of his mother (another example of just how loyal and devoted he is to Billy).

In short, Teddy is a kind and generous, charming and confident young man, fiercly loyal and dedicated to his family and his ideals.

abilities/powers: Copy/pasted from the wikia:

Teddy is a hybrid of both Kree and Skrull. As a result of his hybrid nature, Hulkling has various powers and abilities of each race, including:

* Metamorphosis: Hulkling is a shapeshifter of remarkable ability. While he most commonly shifts into a teenaged version of the Hulk, he has also been known to impersonate well known superheroes such as the Human Torch, Mister Fantastic, and Tony Stark. In the heat of battle - or of the moment - he has evidenced a less refined style of shapeshifting: growing claws, extending his reach and growing wings in a protoplasmic manner.
  • Flight: Using his metamorphic powers, Hulking often grows wings strong enough to propel him into the air.
  • Subconscious Metamorphic Adaptation: Hulkling has shown the (subconscious) ability to adapt his body depending on his situation at the time; most notably when the Warden of The Cube was attempting to vivisect him.
  • Healing Factor: ability to regenerate injured tissue and brain cells to an extraordinary degree.
* Superhuman Strength: Hulkling is much stronger than an average human, and stronger than even most Krees are because of his partial Skrull background. He is rumored to be above Strength Class 100.
  • Limited Invulnerability: Hulkling's skin can become much denser and thicker than any normal human's, giving him a very strong resistance to pain and injury.
first person sample: [Right. Well. Waking up in a morgue completely naked with nothing but a cellphone was not his idea of a good time. If this was a prank he would kill whoever thought it up, but he didn't think any of his friends would pull this kind of stunt given the situation. Well, might as well try the cellphone.]

Er, hello? My name is Teddy and I'm not sure I'm supposed to be here. Wherever this is.

Anyway, well. See, I have a problem. I was in the middle of something very very important. There's someone out there who might be in a lot of danger and maybe even... So if someone could tell me, if anyone can hear this, where the exit is - that would be great. Thanks... [And he thinks he's hung up.]

Oh god, Billy... you better be alive.

third person sample: Teddy was nice and warm, comfy in bed and having the nicest dream.

He and Billy were on their first real date, uninterrupted by a certain speedster. They'd been bowling and gone for a meal and now they were sitting in the movies, watching some strange flick about-- zombie strippers? Why on earth were they watching something like this? Billy shifted beside him, getting up and leaving. Leaving? Why was he leaving?

"B?" Blearily, Teddy sat up in the bed he and his boyfriend had been sharing. He didn't need to wait for his eyes to adjust to the bright light of the morning sun for him to know that Billy wasn't there in the bed beside him. Silently, he prayed that he hadn't done something stupid - oh please don't let him have done something stu... pid.

The letter was lying on the floor, right there where he could see it. Without even reading it he knew exactly what it would say; Billy was so transparent sometimes. He read the letter anyway, and despite himself, he found himself gripping the letter tightly and crumpling it.

"Billy... I'm going to kill you..." He didn't waste a second grabbing and pulling on his uniform, did stop to even make sure he was zipped up properly. That didn't matter right now. Billy was in trouble. He was an idiot and he could be dead and that thought settled so heavy in Teddy's chest he was sure he'd be able to keep a level head.

But then, suddenly, he wasn't running down the corridors, shouting for his team-mates to wake up. He was in a morgue, with nothing but a toe tag and a paper slip.

Teddy was incredibly cold, not comfy at all and hoping so much that this was a dream.
