I'm going to be going through my LJ friends list and pretty much sorting out who I know and who I don't really know. I've decided to really crack down on keeping my private entries just among people I do know, so I will be unfriending some people. Aww... *hugs* I'm sure you are. Would a separate fic LJ help with the fic monitoring? I'm thinking that may be the solution.

But... if you keep your fic updates public, people can still keep you friended to get those, whether you've friended them or not. It only means they won't be able to read your friends-locked entries any more.

Just saying, because that's how I manage my f-list and fic updates and it works fine without the need of a second journal.

You know, you're right about that. I thought that was the case, but I'm not too LJ savvy anymore so I was doubting myself. It's a relief since I didn't want to deal with a second journal. Thanks for your help! ^^

As my friend Scribblemoose just pointed out, you can still monitor my LJ as long as you continue to keep me friended; you just won't get to see my private entries. So as long as you keep "me" on your friends list, you should still be able to see when I update my fics. ^^ Now I feel better about this.

Lol... He is indeed being a big old butt right now. But hopefully he'll make it up to us/Jae soon. Long weekend coming up, so maybe the muse will be willing to play with the boys so I can update the fic soon. Cross your fingers for me. ^^
