Chapter Eight
One hour later
Dark eyes took in the beauty of the angel resting quietly on the bed, at peace in slumber's embrace. For so long, he'd waited for this moment, for when his lover would finally be his.
Nakai ran a gentle hand over Jaejoong's face. His gaze lingered on the now livid bruise on the younger man's cheek. A necessary evil, but one that he did somewhat feel repentant for. If Jaejoong had only cooperated with him instead of struggling to get away, he wouldn't have resorted to such an action. Nakai sighed. It was too late for regrets now.
Pulling away from the bed as gently as possible, Nakai retrieved his cell phone from where it rested on the nightstand and pressed a speed dial button. "Have all the arrangements been made, Akio?"
His personal assistant was quick to assure him that all would be ready in a span of two hours. Nakai wasn't all too happy with the news, time was of the essence, but he knew everything was being done to ensure a fast departure from Japan. "Very well, inform me immediately when all is ready."
A small moan drew Nakai's attention as he slipped the cell phone into his pants pocket. He turned and moved to the bed, watching with hungry eyes as Jaejoong moved about, his sleek body shifting, trying to awaken. Nakai sat down and ran a hand over Jaejoong's silky black hair, trying to sooth him, as he reached for the syringe on the nightstand with his other hand.
"Shh, shh," Nakai cooed, his dark eyes carefully making sure that no bubbles were present within the liquid he was about to administer his lover. Pulling back Jaejoong's long shirt sleeve up to his elbow, Nakai took a strong hold of Jaejoong's arm, picked a spot, and inserted the needle quickly into the unmarred skin beneath his fingertips. He pushed the plunger down slowly, making sure the syringe was completely empty, and pulled the needle out as quickly as it had gone in. Almost immediately, Jaejoong quieted, growing still once more, the drug coursing through his veins taking effect.
Placing the empty syringe back on the nightstand, Nakai picked up the small alcohol swab set out next to it and rubbed at the injection site before using it to apply a bit of pressure, ensuring that the small entry wound didn't bleed. After a few seconds, he removed it and lowered the sleeve back down Jaejoong's arm. /That wasn't so bad./ The instructions Akio had retrieved for him on how to administer the injection had been most helpful indeed.
After he made sure Jaejoong was resting comfortably, Nakai leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss upon Jaejoong's slightly parted lips. He stood up, walked towards the bedroom door, and looked back one more time, taking in his lover's beauty before tapping the switch on the wall, plunging the room into darkness. Nakai walked out and closed the door behind him, locking it with the silver key he kept in the keyhole whenever he was at home. It was a room he'd specifically arranged for Jaejoong, a room he'd never used before now, even during the times he'd brought Jaejoong to his apartment.
/You're mine now, my beautiful Jaejoong. Soon we'll be away from here and at a place where I'll be able to show you just how much I love you without fear of interruptions./ But there was much to prepare before Nakai could completely relax. No doubt by now Jaejoong's disappearance had been discovered. And although Nakai felt he was in the right to have Jaejoong with him, he knew there would be those that would surely object to his claim. Nakai had no intentions in having his plans altered in any way, however, especially by self righteous, interfering idiots determined to separate him from his lover. Despite Jaejoong's behavior in the past few weeks, Nakai knew Jaejoong loved him and was certain that his wayward lover would see reason once they spent some time together, away from outside influences.
He headed into his office and walked over to the cherry colored bookshelf on the far right wall. Hitting the switch located beneath the third highest shelf, Nakai took a step back as the bookshelf slid over to his right, revealing the entrance to the room hidden behind it. Automatic lights turned on, illuminating the entryway, and he stepped through it quickly. A sole iron door stood a few feet ahead, the only thing seen within the otherwise barren room. Entering his passcode into the numerical panel on the wall to the left of the door, Nakai waited for the door to open, the sound the movement created causing an echo to bounce along the walls.
Monitors upon monitors occupied the wall directly in front of him, small screens of light emanating a variety of images, clear and crisp, from the concealed cameras located in different areas of the building he resided in and his office at work. Nakai shifted his attention to the last vertical row of screens, however, the ones assigned to Jaejoong's apartment building.
Reaching a hand over to the control panel lit with several buttons and switches, Nakai scrolled through the images before him, eyes narrowing as screens changed, allowing him a better view of what was happening at Jaejoong's apartment. He smirked as he took in the chaos before him. "So, the authorities have already been called," Nakai thought aloud. From the obvious panic and confusion emanating from those closest to his lover and the officers searching the grounds outside, Nakai could tell that no one had yet guessed his involvement. "Fools." By the time they figured it out, he and Jaejoong would be far away from Japan.
Smiling still, Nakai set the perimeter alarms around his building. Being cautious was an engrained reflex, one he'd learned to utilize to his fullest advantage long ago. He would not be taken by surprise, no matter how much he doubted the possibility of such an occurrence.
Once satisfied that all was as it should be, Nakai exited the room, the door closing immediately behind him, secured and impenetrable. Back in his office, he hit the switch, activating the bookshelf's closing mechanism, and he sat down at his desk as it slid closed. He pressed the spacebar on his keyboard, causing the flat screen computer monitor to flare to life. Entering his password, Nakai went through the motions of wire transferring money to several of his hidden bank accounts in the United States.
His position with Avex had ensured he was a very wealthy man and his substantial finances would be a much needed benefit in the new life he and Jaejoong would have among the Americans. In order to avoid dealing with the extradition laws between Japan and the United States, Nakai knew they would have to be continuously vigilant and stay well off the grid while in the foreign country and for that, they would need sufficient funds at their disposal, along with the new identities he'd carefully constructed and made sure were infallible under scrutiny.
Elation coursed through Nakai at the prospects ahead of him, at the knowledge that he would soon have Jaejoong all to himself. He would own the other man as no other ever had: mind, body, and soul. Oh, he wasn't foolish enough to think Jaejoong would be passive throughout their impending journey together; Jaejoong was a spitfire, full of energy and passion. No, Jaejoong would continue to fight him every step of the way. It was something he was truly looking forward to.
Nakai smiled, lust pooling in his belly, hardening his shaft almost to the point of pain behind the zipper of his slacks, as anticipation of the lessons he would soon teach his headstrong lover flickered through his mind. /Yes, you'll soon learn your place, my lovely Jaejoong. Very soon indeed./
The clatter of keys echoed in the dark lit room as Nakai continued to set into motion the facets of his plan, completely unaware of the low moan that melted into the stillness of the night, an unheard whisper through the veiled darkness behind the closed door a few feet away.
"….Yunho…."
