how to shut up a bammer in three easy steps...
and other un-related news...
this weekend i went to hayden to see katie and to go to her grandfather's birthday party on the lake...
he turned 80...hes getting old...
as for the title of this blog, to make a long story short, i needed a picture frame that i bought at hobby lobby in auburn that they were sold out of and i couldnt find online...
so i was in gardendale after just taking some stuff by the house in fultondale and i noticed there was a hobby lobby there...
figuring that i was in bham after all and that the typical person is not an auburn fan, there just might be one of these frames left on the shelf...
i go in and lo and behold there is one left...
i scoop it up and run to the checkout and ecstatically explain to the cashier(who probably could not care less) that the hobby lobby in auburn is sold out, and i cant find it online, and blah blah blah...
then it happens...
the following is a dialogue:
crazy bammer lady from gardendale: Well, you can put that back on the shelf and trade it for an Alabama one and give it to me if you want to...
me: Well there are still plenty of Alabama ones still on the shelf.(Step one)
cblfg: Well that's odd, Alabama always gives out before Auburn.
me: You know what, you're right, the last six years Alabama just cant seem to get the energy to finish a game.(step two)
cblfg: Harrumph!(I really dont know what sound came out of her mouth...it was some kind of guttural moan of angst and anger as she snarled at me.) Well theres always this year.
me: just in time to make it seven!(step three as i signed my receipt and left the store.)
so there you have it...three easy steps...
at any rate it was fun to let bad matthew out for a few moments...he can now be contained for another 6 months until the day after the iron bowl when he will hopefully get to come out and play again...
so i mentioned moving a bunch of stuff to the house in fultondale...
i took the big box of board games, the three pieces of purchased furniture, three boxes of kitchen stuff, a tub of house stuff from my bedroom, my guitars, and the receiver for the sound system...
we are going again on thursday this week to take care of getting the gas cut on...so i will be carrying another load up...this time i will probably take a bunch of my books that im not reading and the bookcases they are supposed to go on...as well as other small stuff out of my room...get as much out of my room here as i can, which leaves me with very little to pack when it is time to pack in 3 weeks...
thats right...i leave auburn for good in three weeks...
i have a crap load of stuff to do in that time though...i have a huge checklist from UAB of stuff to get done...
anywho...i think that might need to be all that way i will have something to post about the next time i come around a computer...
