i cry foul...
i am being persecuted by all auburn alumni and many auburn students...
why am i being persecuted?
because i chose to voice my opinion of brandon cox's horrible playing this past week...the guy looked like he was reliving his pee wee days...
hell...he probably played better in pee wee than he did in the stadium saturday...
ive never seen a quarterback throw 2 interceptions faster...
so i booed...i booed his playing, i booed his passing, i booed the coaches for leaving him in...
a fifth year senior quarterback is supposed to be a team leader, not a team loser...
i am an auburn fan, and i am an auburn alumnus...i may be a new auburn alumnus, but im still an auburn alumnus...and while some say it is classless to boo...i feel like if you earn it, its not classless...
and it was definitely earned by many of the au coaches and players this week, and the weekend that will not be mentioned again(read "the USF debacle")
as an auburn fan, student, alumnus, and former employee...i had no problem shelling out close to $300 for a season pass to 12 football games...
i have no problem standing at the gates for 2 hours before they open, just to sit in the student section for another 2 hours to watch the game...
i have no problem watching the numerous(i think 3 now, including the one for the band...which is all kinds of screwed up) pre game videos...but at least if im gonna watch em...maybe they could be somewhat truthful...because this is definitely not our time...at least i hope not...i hope it gets better in the years to come...
but i wanna see results when it comes to the playing and coaching of the football team...thats what a fan wants...to see the team they are pulling for win...
there has been a comparison made by one of my least favorite plainsman writers to the idea of taking tests...how would i feel if i made an F on a test and as the professor gave it back to me...my classmates booed...
i counter that with this...school is what i do...i graduated from auburn in 4 years(consecutive ones...no breaks) with an "A" average in Biomedical Sciences...one of the hardest most demanding majors on campus...and am currently awaiting next july to begin medical school...
SCHOOL IS WHAT I DO...I DO IT WELL...I HAVE NEVER MADE AN F ON A TEST AND IF I DID, I WOULD EXPECT BOOS FROM MY CLASSMATES BECAUSE AN F IS UNACCEPTABLE!!
which is exactly how i feel about the performance of our supposedly high caliber offense...football is what they do...they made mistakes...
and if the coaching staff or a player makes a mistake so badly that 20,000 people as one voice stand up and boo...its a bad mistake...especially if its 20,000 of your most loyal supporters...

ill amend it to say auburn people dont boo auburn people...
what the au football team did saturday is not an example of auburn people..
they did not work wisely or skillfully...
they did not win the respect and confidence of their fellow men...
they did not demonstrate a spirit that is not afraid...
these come from the auburn creed...which is what defines an auburn man or woman...
now that ive done my rant...and explained the frustrations of many in the auburn community...and mainly defended myself from the undue persecution of the rest of the auburn world i say this...
