Ok, this could be a long one. We haven't been able to use the computer in several days. Anyway, Venice was beautiful!! Of course. The city is one big maze - I was so confused - but Wes seemed to know where he was. We walked all over the city, saw some museums, toured Murano where they make the Murano glass, took a gondola ride, and ate yummy Italian food and lots of gelato! We also saw San Marco square and the basilica and bell tower. Oh, and our first night in Venice was really cool. They had this big event going on in San Marco square because they were unveiling the new clocktower and ringing the bells for the first time in many years apparently. They had performers and amazing fire dancers. There were several people scaling the side of the giant belltower doing acrobatic stuff. It was all in Italian so we really didn't know what was going on. But then they unveiled the clocktower and rung the bells and it had wooden people come out like a giant kookoo clock. Pretty cool. The square was packed, like New Years Eve in NYC! Oh yeah, one of the stupid pigeons also flew into the side of my head while we were standing in the square yesterday - not cool. I screamed.
So this morning we hopped on the train to Munich, Germany. We stopped through Verona, but only for about 45 minutes. The train ride was wonderful though. To go from Venice to Munich we had to ride straight through the Alps. So there were enormous snow covered mountains all around us and cute little towns everywhere. It was even snowing at some of our stops. Munich so far is not quite as beautiful as Italy and Austria were. But we've only been here a few hours so far. Our hostel's pretty neat and we've already met several other groups of people. I don't know how long we'll stay in town. But I'll try to keep you updated. I think we're going to try to see the big castle that the one at Magic Kindom was made after tomorrow. Goodbye for now!
