It's Such a Beautiful Day!

And I'm sitting at work. Woo.

At least I get to look out the big front windows. It's really quiet here right now. There's very few dogs in the playroom because all daycare dogs are gone and half the boarders got baths today so they can't be in there. So now it's just Spunky, Reggie, and Sasha (a white husky type dog). Out here with me I have Masha and Ringo. I love Masha. She's such a perfect golden. I want one.

*pets Masha*

I miss Nikki. She's at home being so helpful and cleaning the house while I'm at work. She was supposed to develop photos but her paper is locked up in the mailroom at school. I feel bad that I didn't know she needed to go get it. Blah. Tomorrow we're going to go out to Bayfield for Apple Fest which should be great. I'm hoping tomorrow is as nice as today. We'll be taking Spunky, I'm sure. Maybe he'll even wear his sports jersey I bought him. He's so adorable in it!

Here comes a customer. . .

Okay, back. I like Bayfield. And I love watching my sweetheart take photographs. Such a cute squishy face! We bought some color film for tomorrow but on Thursday we went out for her photography class for the "Sense of Place" assignment. I decided to go with her so we headed out and were the first ones to get to Don's house. We ate some awesome chili and I even tried and semi-liked the apple cider he had. I also actually liked the banana cream pie Don made that I shared with Nikki. I'm just such a good girl trying new food and liking it.

AND I'M CLOSING TODAY! This is my first time closing! Isn't that cool? I started opening a little while ago but was never taught how to close. Turns out it's all just reversed. I don't even balance the till here. So maybe it shouldn't be that cool, but I feel special. I was watching the place while Tammi went to Walmart then she came back in and asked me if I knew how to close, told/showed me real quick, then left. So I'm all alone and will have to deal with some picky customers too. See, Masha is apparently allergic to everything but Tina accidentally bathed her this morning. We've been watching her and all and she's just fine, but her parents are overprotective and rude. (They were the first people to really talk down to me here, telling me what to do. I brought Masha in and she wanted to go into the playroom right away but I told her to wait because the dogs were being crazy yesterday and I didn't want a fight to break out as I tried to put her in. Her mom was like "she's here all the time, she's fine, just put her in". I didn't say anything but I was thinking "Umm, the last time she was here was 3 months ago, so she's not here all the time and I know what I'm doing because I know these dogs and how they're feeling today and you don't". Tammi and Kris backed me up later, just laughing at her stupidity.) Anyway, the point of that was that I am very competent and good at my job and I'm trusted enough to handle all these situations. Go me!

There's some SUV outside just sitting there but no one's coming in. And the sun reflecting off of it is blinding me. Yay. Oh, it was someone for Buddy (a golden).

There's so many dogs here I wish I could take home! I love them so much! It's going to be so hard to say goodbye to everyone when we leave. And we leave in only like 2 1/2 months! Can you believe it? It's going to FLY by!

Oh yeah! I was talking about Bayfield! Sorry, I got sidetracked by furry puppies and such. So yeah, after we ate we drove downtown and then walked around for almost 2 hours with Spunky while Nikki took pictures of lots of various things. I took a few pictures with the digital camera too. Lots of them were of Nikki taking pictures because I think she's beautiful when she does it and it's kind of a turn on too. ^_- We had to go back to the car to get more film because she took so many pictures of vines and sailboats and spiders and gateways and doors and, well, me. Heh. We were then going to leave so she could make it to her Diverse Materials Waste-of-Time class, but I drove her up to the park at the top of the hill and we spent a long time there. We're going to go back tomorrow because she ran out of film, unfortunately but now she'll have the color film. It was so nice and we just walked along, held hands, and took pictures. There were tons of squirrels, too. And faeries. And a beast's layer. Yep.

I've gotta go take care of the boarders and start cleaning and closing down now but I still have to write about the Renaissance Festival, so maybe I'll do that when I get home. As long as it doesn't take me away from my baby for too long. *wiggle squiggle* We're having Lawry's chicken and corn or rice for dinner tonight! Such a good weekend. I'm so happy and. . . what was I going to say? Oh yeah! I love you, Nicole Jeske. *grins about being the only person that can use that name* Tee-hee!
