My mom is finally serving my stepdad with divorce papers. It all came to a head last night while I was over. My mom told him to leave, and not come back.
He has been following her for weeks, convinced she's having an affair (She's not) Every day he tells her how horrible a mother she is (SHE IS NOT) and says the most awful things to her.
I have been telling her to leave him for years, I understand all the reasons she stayed, she didn't want my brothers to go through what me, Bridget and Jeff went through as kids. She feels so guilty for her entire adult life. It hurts so bad to see her like this to break down. She didn't ask for this, all she wanted was to be a mother.
She asked Bridget to move back in to help pay rent, I wouldn't move in and she knows that, that house is too small, I have been away too long.
But she doesn't think she can pay for the house, she might be moving to Maricopa. She asked if Jeff can move in with me this summer.
