Here's an anon who was hoping to post some concrit after running into your Taiwan several times.

But the comment above almost says everything I've wanted to mention, so I will touch on a few points, as well as state a few things in response to the reasons you gave.

Coming from someone who has a number of Taiwanese friends, I know for a fact that all of them use mandarin as their native language, and only ever use their limited Hokkien when they are talking to their older relatives, such as their grandparents. Thus, I think that its best that you find some other way for Taiwan to show off her rebellious nature, because the Hokkien doesn't really get it across, as much as it does the old-fashioned bit. However, the language is not a huge issue, for me at least.

The points that matter to me are these:
-While you seem to want to make Taiwan rebellious, the majority of the time, she comes off as sensitive, easily offended and playing off pity points, particularly when China is involved. It usually doesn't come across as Taiwan standing up against China, but rather, she gives off a vibe of 'look what the bad bad man did to me'. This is probably not intentional, as I'm sure you like to get it across that she's no pushover, but I'd like to see you give the girl a little more spine.

-Your reliance on animals to write the tags for you pains me quite a bit. I reply to you in the hopes to play with Taiwan, not to have a tiger nuzzle or growl at my character. I think this may apply to other people who tag you as well.

-The food, trivia, sleepiness and 'never gets in trouble' were already addressed so I'll skip those.

-Playing a female character in a cast of many male characters might be difficult at times, but it can be managed. I don't think this is the only reason your Taiwan appears as if she's trying to find romance whenever she's talking to a male character. This may be because, as far as I've seen her, she comes across as either shy and flirtatious or sad and in need of comfort. Both of these push a romantic relationship on the other player. Mixing it up a little, such as showing another side of Taiwan, whether it be tired, exasperated, quirky, mischievous, frustrated, curious or even confused would draw away from this impression. It would also make playing with you more interesting, because the sad or happy combo can get old very quickly.

I'm glad to hear that you do believe you take concrit and try to work it into you RP. When people have the problem with taking too much crit as you mentioned, they usually take one point in the crit and push it to extremes, and suddenly their character is all out of proportion. The solution, in most cases, is to absorb the crit given, and slowly, gradually work it into the mindset of the character, without abandoning the traits that you were praised for or the traits that you enjoy playing most. I hope that one bad incident doesn't stop you from taking advice now and in the future.

You seem like a nice person and I'd like to see you grow as a player, as for the moment, playing with you isn't the most fun it could be. This may be personal preference, but seeing as the anons above me mentioned so many of the points I wanted to list, these might be things you'll want to pay attention to and change, rather than list reasons for.

Best of luck and I hoped my words have helped in some way.

Ah, thank you a lot for all the bits of crit, whether repeated or not. I try to welcome ever piece of crit I'm given and attempt to mix it with my own thoughts and headcanon, which to be fair I had to make up from scratch since I started playing her *before* the "Doodles about Asia" became well-known, but still... not a real excuse or anything.

I'll try doing this, and in fact I think I'm starting to take the first steps. If I'm not, you're very allowed to poke me upside the head again. Thanks for everything! :D
