[She opens her mouth. She was going to say something -- an excuse, an alibi, an insult -- but nothing came out. Instead, she just stares at him, unable to think of words and secretly afraid of saying the wrong thing. A few seconds pass by, though they feel like hours to her, and she finally says:]

[ He just... stays where he is. Doesn't move a muscle. His expression is a smile, yet there's a sort of unreadable quality to what he's thinking. ]

I don't care about what you've done, at this point. I don't care about how 'dangerous' or 'psycho' the others say you are. Hell, I don't care that it's probably true. The fact is? It's no worse than anything I've done, or will do in the future. The entire reason I exist... is to ensure that all life will vanish.

[ He says this all quite bluntly and point blank, his expression remaining. It was hard, yes, but right now... she needed to know the cold facts. ]

I was created exactly for that purpose, nothing else. To end everything. But someone stopped my creation before I was ready, woke me up, and I slaughtered everything that crossed my path--including that man, and almost every single living weapon there without any effort whatsoever. He just happened to be my friend's guardian. I caused the deaths of countless others, directly and indirectly without even blinking.

[ He feels bad about it. He honestly does. The guilt... shows in his voice, but he presses on. ]
