Now what????
We have a squirrel in our fireplace. It must have fallen down the chimney. It doesn't appear to be hurt, although, if it keeps thrashing around, it will hurt itself. Now, I have to find out if any of my neighbors have a trap that I can catch it in, so I can get it out of the house and set it loose. And where is my cat? Fast asleep in the "kitty-cave" in my bedroom. If she would just plant herself in front of the fireplace (it has glass doors and she couldn't get in) the squirrel would hunker down and hide behind the firedogs and the log that is in there. Then, at least I wouldn't have to worry about the squirrel injuring itself before I can set it free.
