After the whole dead body appearing on the island thing, Nick found that he could sleep even less than usual. This was odd, because once the initial thrill of having some real forensics work to do wore off, he was left with nothing but recurring nightmares that he was the random corpse, and that wasn't a good thing.
Waking up from another such nightmare with a start, Nick sighed and pushed himself out of bed. Maybe a nice walk around the brightly-lit, non-threatening compound would calm him down.
Snatching up the empty mug that he had left next to his bed, he left his room and headed out to the kitchen to get some coffee.
